2. What data do we collect? When you register and use Saunatime, we store the following:
- Mandatory data: Email address (for login and communication), Username.
- Optional data: Profile picture, "About me" text, favorite sauna, link to website.
- Activity Data: Your sauna logs (date, place, text, and images that you choose to publish).
- Technical data: IP address and cookies to keep you logged in and improve site function.
3. Why do we process your data? We process your data for the following purposes:
- To provide the service (enable logging in, booking, editing saunas, and maintaining a sauna log).
- To display your public profile and your sauna logs to other visitors.
- To manage competitions and draws (e.g., verify compliance with terms and contact winners).
- To send booking confirmations and system messages.
- For marketing: To send newsletters and information about Saunatime to your email address.
4. Legal Basis
- Performance of contract: To deliver the service, the sauna log, and the booking system.
- Consent: When you actively choose to participate in a draw or competition.
- Legitimate interest: We have a legitimate interest in marketing our service and keeping our users updated on platform news. You always have the right to opt-out of marketing (see below).
5. Data Sharing We never sell your personal data to third parties.
- Upon booking request: To enable contact, your email address is shared with the counterparty (including to the sauna owner upon a request, and to the tenant when an owner responds).
- Public data: Your public profile (username, image, etc.), liked saunas, and your sauna logs are visible to visitors on Saunatime. Your email address is never displayed publicly.
6. Your Rights According to GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the data we have about you (register extract).
- Have incorrect data corrected (which you can easily do yourself via "My Page").
- Have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten"). Contact us and we will remove your account and personal data.
- Right to object to direct marketing: You have the right to opt-out of our newsletters and marketing emails at any time. This is easiest via the "Unsubscribe" link at the end of each email.
7. Cookies We use cookies for site navigation, security, and for managing login sessions. By using the service, you agree to this. In addition, you can accept cookies for visitor statistics and to enable us to improve the site.
